Montana Technological University seeks a creative and energetic individual to serve as the Director of Undergraduate Admissions. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader with a background in higher education. The Director collaborates with a variety of stakeholders with the goal of attracting students to the University while using technology to manage office operations.
DUTIES:
Montana Technological University seeks a creative and energetic individual to serve as the Director of Undergraduate Admissions.
Reporting to the Executive Director of Enrollment, this position supervises six professional staff in the Admissions office. The Director plans, develops, implements, and evaluates a comprehensive student recruitment plan with the goal of positively impacting enrollment. This position has budget management and oversight as well as resource allocation responsibilities.
Essential duties include:
- Plan and manage efforts to inform prospective students about Montana Tech and promote the University’s programs and services.
- Work closely with the Admissions team and other key stakeholders to develop strategic goals and actions.
- Use exemplary communication skills to develop effective messaging.
- Act as the primary liaison with external vendors to manage and implement marketing services.
- Supervise dynamic campus visit programs that include tours, registration, and open house events.
- Use data to prioritize effective tactics and efficient resource allocation.
- Hire, train, mentor, and supervise Admissions staff.
- Use Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to manage effective communication campaigns and prioritize recruiter activities.
- Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with a wide variety of constituents including campus stakeholders, high school administrators, consultants, and vendors.
- Coordinate with Marketing & Communications Department to synchronize activities and ensure consistent use of Montana Tech’s brand/pillars.
- Develop and maintain website content for Admissions related pages.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Two years of progressive experience relevant to work in an accredited higher education admissions office.
- Demonstrated experience and ability to mentor, work, supervise, and lead a team.
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong aptitude for software and technology.
- Experience evaluating data to develop impactful strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work independently.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Five years of progressive experience relevant to work in an accredited higher education admissions office.
- Experience working with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Marketing or communications experience.
- Event planning experience.
- This position requires the ability to operate typical office equipment (i.e. a computer, telephone, etc)
- This position may be required to travel on occasion to attend meetings, professional conferences, or training sessions as necessary.
- Expected to be in the office 40 hrs a week.
